THE YEAR

The undisputed top world event was the January 6 attack on the United States capitol. It was the first since the British attacked in 1812 over two hundred years before. It began a tug of war between the countries two main parties as to who as responsible, culminating in the formation of a congressional investigative committee. Democracy itself was teetering on the brink. Democracy around the world was slowly being eroded. COVID-19 Vaccines finally became available and the belief that it would be the beginning of the end. It was not. The world divided int vaccers and anti-vaccers and the year ended with mutations with the virus being spread more then ever. Supply chains in the economy faltered with shortages of goods. Other events included climate change igniting catastrophic events around the world. The messy pull out from Afghanistan and the return of the Taliban. (Photo: Routers) .

The best album comes from The Pretty Restless and 'Death by Rock and Roll'. With the vaccinations, touring slowly began coming back. Some of the earliest starting were Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles and KISS. Most waitied for the return of The Rolling Stones beginning September 26th, but without thier drummer. It could perhaps be the final tour. Time will tell. Tommy Vext leaves as lead singer of Bad Wolves. Marilyn Manson is accused of sexual abuse and dropped from his label. Notible deaths include Charlie Watts (The Rolling Stones), Dusty Hill (ZZ Top), producer Phil Spector, Don Everly (The Everly Brothers), Michael Nesmith (The Monkees) and Les Emerson (Five Man Electrical Band).
